M. Hume, federation lmrd-festing supervisor, at tin- annual meeting of the New Zealand Co-operative HerdTesting Association. Mr Hume said there were over 2,000,000 dairy cows in New Zealand, and of this number 1,000,000 were in the Auckland . Province. There were 200,000 cows in Taranaki, and about the same number in the Wellington district. The-rc were six cows in the North Island to one in the South Island.
