MILITARY TRAINEES
WAIKATO REGIMENT IN CAMP Over 220 officers and men of the Ist Battalion of the Waikato Regiment, including a number from the Cam- ' bridge district, are in camp at Hbpuhopu, under the command of Lieuten- ; ant-Colonel R. Closer. Consolidated ' training will be carried out during the week, with extra ceremonial drill and parades in preparation for the ceremony to be staged at Hamilton next ! Friday, when the regimental Colours will bo returned. On Thursday a field clay Avill be held, when defence movements will be supported by an aeroplane from Hobsonville. On the same day the battalion will be inspected by Major-General Sir William Sinclair-Burgess, general officer ' commanding the New Zealand Military ' Forces, and Colonel J. E. Duigan, officer commanding the Northern Comi mand.
