OBITUARY

TVTRS; ; MARY BLUCK v KARAPIRO : !' RESIDENT It is with deep regret that the death of Mrs Mary Bluck, wife of Mr F. C. Bluck, of Karapiro, is recorded. She had not been in the best of health for some time and had been in a hospital at Hamilton. However, her condition had improyecLso much that arrangements had been made for her to come home, but she suddenly took a turn for the worse and died on Thursday.

Mrs Bluck was greatly loved and respected in Cambridge and the Karapiro district especially, for her kindly nature and willingness to assist any move for the good of the community. The Sympathy of a \vide circle of friends will go out to Mr Bluck and the family in their loss. Mrs Bluck was born at Pukekohe East in 1879,. being the eldest daughter of John and Sarah King, well-known farmers of that district. Shu was educated at the Pukekohe School. She was marrjed to Mr Bluck 31 years ago, and lived at Mercer, Taumarunui, Kotorua, Auckland and Pseroa, during the time Mr Bluck was employed by the railway department as en-gine-driver. Sixteen years ago | the family came to the Cambridge district and took up farming at Kai-apiro, whore they have resided since. Mrs Bluck was a staunch member of the Presbyterian Church, and was associated with the Ladies' Guild and other social branches of ■ the Church work. She was also keenly interested in the welfare of the Cambridge Competitions Society and had been a member since its inception.

She is survived by her husband and three sons, Alfred, of the Bank of New Zealand, Auckland; .Tack, of the Bank of New South Wales, Auckland; and Trevor, of Cambridge, and one daughter, Miss Gladys Black, of Cambridge. There are also three grand-children. The interment took place to-day at "the Leamington Cemetery.
