ROTO-O-BANGrI WOMEN S INSTITUTE (Prom Our Own Correspondent) Mrs Shale presided over a good attendance at the monthly meeting 0 the Women’s Institute held this week at the Roto-o-rangi school. After singing the Institute Song and reciting Creed, Mrs Shale spoke at some lengt i on arrangements in connection wit the “gala day” to be held on Saturday February 3. With the help of members an attractive programme has been arranged, which should prove popular. _ Miss Owen* Nickle opened the social programme with a pianoforte solo. A duct rendered by Miss Gwen Nick and Mrs Cooper was much enjoyedCommunity singing was then indulged in Mrs Maclean sang an song which was much appreciated. Mrs Dillon gave an amusing recitation. The bring-and-buy table, in charge of Mrs H. Martin, did brisk business. The hostesses, Mrs Gargan, Miss Kay and Miss Lyle, provided a delicious afternoon tea. An enjoyable afternoon closed with the singing of the National Anthem.
