RELIEF COMMITTEE
CLOSING OF ACTIVITIES
FOR SUMMER PERIOD
The closing meeting of the summer period of the Cambridge District Relief Committee was held in the Council Chambers yesterday afternoon. There were present Messrs S. N. Ziman (chairman), H. Alan Bell, Rev. C. W. Clark, Capt. E. V. O’Keeffe (lion, secretary), Mcsdamcs S. Lewis, A. Gane, Perkins and MacDonald. Thanks'. Hearty votes of thanks were accorded Mr E. Betts (butcher) and the Waikato Independent for valuable assistance. Closing of Depot. I-t was decided to close the depot for the summer period, but that any person requiring relief in clothing to apply to a member of the committee. Balance of Funds. The treasurer, Rev. C. W. Clark, presented a financial statement showing a balance of £7 4/10. It was agreed to place the money in the bank in a trust account under the names of Mrs Lambic and Rev. Clark, and to remain as such until the next meeting. The trustees have power to administer the fund if necessary. Thanks were 1 accorded the secretary and the chairman for officiating in the respective capacities.
