HARVEST THANKSGIVING. ~ .Services of thanksgiving for the blessings of the harvest were held by the Anglican community at Ohaupo, Kaipaki and Maungatautari. At the two former places the acting-vicar, the Rev. P. Cleary, preached the occasional sermon, while the Rev. C. W. Clark preached to a good congregation at. Maungatautari. The offerings of the fruits of the earth were generous, despite the lean time at present being experienced. In all places the Churches wore beautifully decorated.

On behalf of the Archdeacon the writer wishes to thank all who gave so freely. From Ohaupo offerings were forwarded to the Church institutes in Auckland, while the gifts of the parishioners and others of St. Andrew’s, Kaipaki and Maungatautari, were collected on Monday while still in perfect condition, by a representative of the Hamilton Hospital. The fruit will be distributed among the patients by -the hospital, while the board gave the root crops to necessitous cases in Hamilton.
