Last evening Stanley Pinto secured the New Zealand light-heavyweight championship by defeating Tom Alley by two straight falls with body presses after wearing his opponent clown with headlocks. Alley almost subdued Pinto in the fourth round with his famous crucifix, hold, but Pinto managed to reach the ropes. Pinto now meets George Walker in the champion of champions match here next Monday. Walker retained his British Empire champion title by defeating Billy Meosko at Auckland on Saturday night.
