NGARUAWAHIA REGATTA.
This year the Ngaruawahia Regatta is to be hold on Saturday, March 14th, and the attractions will be as numerous and entertaining as in previous years. In the aquatic events keen competition will be witnessed between leading Auckland and Provincial Rowing Clubs. The Maori events will include war canoe races, canoe hurdle races, mounted swimming races, the ancient Maori race of "The Chase for the Bride," poi dances and hakas. There will also be Highland dancing and piping competitions. There will also be sideshows, and a first-lass band. Refreshment booths are situated on the grounds.
