THIS WEEK’S COMPETITIONS. A reminder is given of the competitions being held at the local golf courses.. At Mr B. ■Wells’ Green and White course tho weekly singles were finalised on Thursday night. The men semifinalists were E. Chard 46, G. C. Watson 55, W. Woolley 56, S. Simpson 59. Final: E. Chard 55, G. C. Watson 56. Ladies: Miss M. Wilkinson 48, Miss G. Abel 57, Mrs Woolley 58, and Miss I. Chard 73. In the final Miss Wilkinson 62 beat Miss Abel 65. The combined competition will conclude, as usual, on Monday night. At Mr J. A. 11. Bell’s course interest is being stimulated in the monthly ladder competition now in progress. Splen- 1 did prizes are being given by Mr Bell, and at any time during the month a competitor can go oh the ladder. Position of ladder can bo scon at club-house, also conditions. The children’s weekly competition will end this evening, with the play-off of the adult competitions on Monday evening.
