The first Socialist funeral in Christchurch was held on Saturday afternoon last, when the body of the late Mr L. R. Wilson was buried at Bromley cemetery. • There was no clergyman to conduct any religious service. Mr F. K. Cooke, a member of the City Council, spoke with deep feeling of the good qualities of Mr Wilson and he concluded'with a # quotation from Omar Khayyam. Mr E. J. Howard, M.P., also spoke of the good work and character of Mr Wilson.
