Competition is active except merinos, inferior, and those of doubtful yield, which as compared with closing' rates of last series are 7* to 10 per cent lower. Bellies o.nd pieces, Continent good demand, especially yesterday's sale, at which 75 per cent of the offerings were sold. Sheepskins.Average attendance, competition irregular; as compared with closing rates of last series, all descriptions of Australian sheepskins 10 per cent lower; New Zealand crossbred 5 to 10 per cent lower. Offered 3509 bales. Sold 2439 bales. Messrs Samuel Page and Son report: Butter: New Zealand finest, 132/- to 134/-; Australian finest salted, 130/to 132/-. Cheese: New Zealand white, SO/- to 81/-; New Zealand coloured, 82/- to 83/-.
