MATCH ABANDONED.
Word was received this morning that there will be no match with Morrinsville this afternoon, owing to the visitors not being able a raise a team. CAMBRIDGE CHAMPIONSHIPS. Playing for the ladies' championship yesterday, Mrs Clayton met Miss Savage, the latter winning, after a very close and good match, 6—5, 6—4. Miss Savage now meets Miss Short ami the winner of that match will play Mrs F. Swayne in the final, the last-named player having reached the final. Several matches in the men's championship will be decided this afternoon, and it is hoped to complete the contest at an early date.
