Mr H. R. Jenkins, M.P. for Parnell, has resigned his seat. He will contest the by-clcction as an Independent, or possibly as a Reform supporter. Mr Geo. Gutry, headmaster of the Roto-o-rangi school, who recently received notice of his transfer, on promotion, to the Onewhcro school, will take up his now duties, on April Ist, and will thus leave his present position at the end oj: next week. The following delegates will represent the Hamilton Rotarian Club at the eighth annual Rotary Conference of New Zealand, to be held at Chateau Tongarfro:—Messrs 0. L. McDiarmid, H. Valdcr, A. B.'Collier, E. G. Johnson, G. Boyes and H. Clark. Mr R. McWilliams, the Auckland and New Zealand representative forward, is arriving in Hamilton early next week. On Wednesday afternoon Mrs S. Banks gave a delightful party at Miss Banks' residence, Hamilton Road, in honour of Mrs Norman Banks' two children, Tosti and Brian.
