“SUNNY SIDE UP.” DOUBLE STAR PROGRAMME. Janet Gaynor and Chas. Farrell arO still drawing exceptional houses at the local theatre, where they are featuring in their first Fox Movietone musical comedy. Both stars have a striking personality, which finds favour with their patrons. It is the first time either of them have appeared in a musical comedy role, and their performance in this De Sylva, Brown, and Henderson production proves their adaptability to this style of entertainment. Sharon Lynn, who recently made her musical debut in “Follies of 1929” has a feature role, as also has Frank Richardson. Marjorie White, famous Broadway comedienne, also wins applause by her performance. David Butler directed the film, while Seymour Felix, Broadway’s famous dance director, staged the dances and song numbers. ‘ ‘ Sunny Side Up ’ ’ will have its last two screenings Cambridge to-night and to-morrow evening, and intending patrons would be well advised to reserve their seats. ; ; SATURDAY’S PROGRAMME. On Saturday, and showing for one night only, comes a double star programme, introducing “Painted Faces,” a 100 per cent all talkie drama of circus life, with Helen Foster, star of the “Gold-diggers of Broadway,” and Joe Brown, clown star of “Rio Rita,” itt the feature roles. The second attraction will be Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer’s latest offering, “A Woman of Affairs,” with John Gilbert and Greta Garbo as co-stars. In addition they are supported by a notable assemblage of genuine screen talent, headed by Lewis Stone. This new film by Michael Arlen is a love drama of London society. It is swift moving and gripping, and affords better opportunity than any previous vehicle for the histrionic ability of these two stars.

Coming on Monday, “Flight,” with Jack Holt and Ralph Graves, the mighty drama of adventure in the sky —the most sensational air feats yet photographed. “THE COCK-EYED WORLD." Long awaited, but well worth the waiting, will be “The Cock-eyed World,” Raoul Walsh’s masterful Fox Movietone effort, to be screened in Cambridge within a fortnight.
