BIG CATCHES AT TAUPO. ! CONDITION MUCH IMPROVED. By Telegraph—Press Association. TAUPO, March 19. Recent catches include 15 fish taken “by Mr and Mrs Brown, from the launch Tamiti, off Eotongaio, 17 fish taken by Messrs C. Fenwick and Bradshaw, of Auckland, trolling with the fly from the Tainui at Whakaipo, and 40 fish taken by Messrs H. Anderson, A. Brown and D. Waters, of Napier, trolling with the fly from the Sunbeam at Whangamata. The largest of these weighed 81b. jjjpme nice fish have been secured at the mouth of the Waitahanui by fly fishermen recently. No record weights have been recorded, but the average condition is now much, improved.
