ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

The annual meeting of the above was hdd at the Public Hall on Thursday last. There was only a moderate attendance of members, Mr Eric Shaw being voted to the efiair.

The secretary read the annual report and statement of accounts. The receipts for the season amounted to £l7 11/-, comprising'members’ subs. £ll 19/-; proceeds of dance £4. 6/-; sundry receipts £1 6/-. Payments amounted to £l3 S/9, leaving a balance of £4 2/3. The report and statement of accounts were adopted. Election of Officers. The following officers were appointed, subject to their acceptance: —Patron, Mr Fred Lye, M.P.; president, Mr C. W. Dunford (re-elected); vice-presi-dents, Messrs E. J. Swan and A. Pretty (re-elected), and Frank Goodwin; secretary and treasurer, Mr Eric Shaw; committee, Messrs G. Smith, W. Libeau, and R. Cranston (re-elected), and M. Casey, C. L. Strong, R. Taylor and F. Goodwin Club captain, junior team selector and delegate (temporary), Mr B. S. Entwisle.

It was decided to enter junior and third-grade teams in the Cambridge Union competitions.

Subscriptions to be the same as last year, viz., juniors 5/-, thirds 1/G, nonplayers 2/6.

The question of a ground was left to the committee.

A vote of thanks was moved to Mr Hugh Baird for the use of his paddock last season.

A hearty vote of thanks was moved to Mr R. S. Entwisle for his services as secretary and treasurer, and regret -was expressed that he could not continue in this position. The first practice was fixed for Saturday, March. 22nd.
