SENSATIONAL DEVELOPMENTS PREDICTED. RUMOURED RESIGNATION OF PRIME MINISTER. During the past few days persistent rumours have been current to the effect that the political situation is very critical, and that sensational developments arc expected to take place within the next few days.' The Waikato Times’ Wellington correspondent declares that increasing uneasiness is being felt at the 'United Party’s policy and administration of the government of the Dominion, and especially has there been great unrest with, the Hon. G. W. Forbes’ administration of the Lands Department. It is considered that.if instead of buying fresh land for settlement, Crown Lands had been opened up and the unemployed set to work clearing, loading and forming farming areas there, the unemployment problem would practically have automatically solved itself.
