PAEROA-POKENO RAILWAY.
NEW ROUTE PROPOSED, RE-SURVEY TO BE MADE. PAEROA, March 5. A re-survey of the route for the pro-' posed Paoroa-Pokeno railway is now' being arranged and sites for the swr- - voyors ’ camps were selected at Ngatea last Saturday. A route has been propose!! which will' bring the line nearer to the township of Ngatea and which will also reduce the number of bridges to one. The present route to be surveyed will follow the right bank of the Piako river front Jvciepechi to Ngatea, instead of crossing the Awaiti Canal, as did the last foul*, surveyed.
