PICNIC
PRESBYTERIAN SUNDAY SCHOOL.
SUCCESSFUL OUTING.
On Saturday last tlie Trinity PrcsbyI'i.an Sunday School held its annual picnic at Mr W. T. Perkins’ farm, at PukcKura, when a most successful day was spent, marred only by the heavy thunder showers experienced in the late afternoon. The gathering was not limited to Sunday School pupils, but also embraced the Bible Classes and congregation.
Proceedings commenced in the morning at 10.00, when the children were conveyed to the picnic grounds, and amused themselves in various ways until'lunch time. Later in the day the adults arrived, and numerous races filled in the programme until the afternoon tea when the rain caused a hurried rush to the various places of shelter, until the cars were reached to take the picnieers home again. The preparation and organising of the outing were undertaken by the Sunday School teachers, while the ladies took care of the provision of comestibles. Altogether the day was very happily spent by all, and was voted as successful as on former occasions. Thanks were, during the day, tendered to Mr Perkins for the use of his farm for the picnic.
