What the late Bishop Cleary characterised as "apostolic zeal"-is displayed by the Eoman Catholic priest of Te Aroha, Father W. Fordc. who is .an energetic organiser and shrewd nnnncicr, in addition to his qualities as a pastor. Having built a new school at a cost of £6OOO, the parishioners of Te Aroha have bought a motor bus, at a cost of £650, so that the Catholjc children of outlying districts may receive a religious education. In order to save expense, the hard-working Father Fordo has undertaken to drive the bus himself. This will involve two return trips daily, over a total distance of 70 miles, in all sorts of weather.
