NEXT SATURDAY'S GALA,

VISIT OF AUCKLAND CHAMPIONS At the present time preparations arc well in. hand for the local club's gala on Saturday evening next, and the prospects are that it will be just as successful at the record fixture a few weeks ago. Again the executive have been successful in securing outstanding performers in G. Bridson, of Auckland, the New Zealand champion, who put up the wonderful performances at the re* cent N.Z. championship gala.. Patrons will be given a diving treat by W. Has-' son, champion diver of Auckland. The programme arranged is an excellent one of about. 18 items, not to mention the numerous heats that will be occasioned by the entries which are coming in well from all the neighbouring clubs. A feature will be the ladies' contest for the 75yds South Auckland championship, which has been allotted to Cambridge this year. Keen interest is being evinced in the gala, and as this is probably the last evening fixture of the season, there is every promise of a record attendance. Apart from the great programme patrons will be pleased with the presence of Bridson, the wonder boy swimmer.
