ITNION'S MANAaEMENT MEETING

EEPEESENTATIVE GAMES.

./The weekly meeting of the Eugby Union Management Committee was held in the Farmers' Clubrooms last evening, when Mr."T. S. Cray presided over a small attendance. Matamata Third Grade. The Matamata Sub-Union advised that on July 6th, in addition to the senior reps., they would also be propared to send their third-grade reps, to Cambridge, to play a curtain-raiser to the senior match. • , - Accepted. ' ' Auckland Team's Visit. The Parnell Club, wrote, offering to send their senior B team to Cambridge on Saturday, August 10th, and the offer was readily accepted. Match with Otorohanga. The Otorohanga Sub-Union wrote, asking Cambridge to fix a dale for a match against their .reps, .at Otorohanga. , . As the Union have several engagements to fill, including Jae Finlay Cup, the Secretary was instructed to reply that.it is the intention of the Union to give them a game, and that the Union will advise Otorohanga in reasonable time to mako their arrangements. Request from Taupiri. The Taupiri Sub-Union wrote, asking for a match at their home ground, and the Secretary was instructed to advise that if a date is available at a later period the Union will be pleased to send a team. ' > Insurance. A progress report was received anent J. Holmes' injury, a declaringon certificate was received from C. Eobertson, and a declaring-off certificate from E. B. Eoss. ; , Recent Dance.

The President reported in connection with the recent cabaret dance, and expressed, disappointment that'the function had not been attended better by the footballers, especially as it was a benefit for the injured players' fund. A very hearty vote of thanks was accorded Mrs. Cray, Mrs. Morgan, Mr. Webber, and Mrs. Cray's staff for their efforts. - Thanks were also accorded Messrs'. Leng, B. H. J. Gardiner, and the "Independent" for their generosity. Rep. Match Arrangements. Messrs. C. Hodgson and, B. Wells (selector) were appointed managers of the senior reps, to travel to To Awamutu on Saturday next. The matter of transport was left in Mr. Hodgson's hands. The Secretary and Mr. T. Dagg were appointed managers of B repl team-to play Waipa B at Cambridge on Saturday. Third Grade Selector. . Mr. A. E. Batchelor was unanimously appointed third grade selector for the season.
