ALTERATIONS IN MAILS.

RURAL MAIL A LITTLE LATER.

Consequent upon the amendments to the railway time-table, which came into force yesterday, several changes to the local mail services have become necessary. The mails from Wellington and the South will not be affected, at all, while the night mail from Auckland, delivered first thing in the morning, is also the same as before. The main alterations are as under: — Mails for Auckland (only), Frankton Junction, King Country, also Thames, Rotorua, Tauranga and intermediate stations, now close at the local Post Office at 10.30 a.m. - Mails * for Hamilton, Frankton Junction, Auckland and intermediate stations, Matangi, Newstead, close at 1.15 p.m. '••-' Mails for the Fencourt, Horahora, Roto-o-rangi rural deliveries; also Te Miro (Monday, "Wednesday and Friday) and Power Station, Horahora (Tuesday,. Thursday-and Saturday), close at 1.45 p.m. Mails from Auckland now reach Cambridge at 1.30 p.m. instead of 1 p.m. as in the past, and those from Bay of Plenty, Rotorua and Thames are now received at 3.50 p.m.
