Air. Ross, who is on a visit to New Zealand from Scotland, is in Tirau, visiting bis son, Air. J. Ross.
Sir Thomas Clement, K. 8., head of the well-known Tooley Street firm, visited Cambridge yesterday.
Air. and Airs. S. Cowding left Cambridge yesterday to spend a three weeks ’ holiday at Dovonport. They are staying at “ Ventnor.” •' Mr. Y. Cook, of the Opotiki District High School teaching staff, is spending portion of his holidays in Cambridge. He was a relieving teacher at Cambridge some time ago. An interested visitor to the. Cambridge district this week was Atajor R. I-I. Howell, late of the 20tli Lancers, Indian Army, and now of Canterbury. Ala jor How-ell is the New Zealand Superintendent of the Public Schoolboy Immigration Movement, and at the picsent time is making one of his periodical tours through the North Island inquiring into the -welfare and progress of boys w r ho have come out to New Zealand under the Big Brother Scheme.
