It is gazetted that Colonel R. TracyInglis, 0.8. E., V.D., M.. 8., N.Z. Medical Corps, has been granted an extension of one year in the period of his appointment as Director of Medical Services. Rev. W. J. Elliott (president of the Methodist Conference of New Zealand), accompanied by Mrs Elliott, spent the week-end at Cambridge, the guests of Mr and Mrs Alf. Ganc. Mr and Mrs Elliott returned to their home at Papakura to-day. At yesterday's meeting of the' Waipa' County Council clogistic reference' was' made to the services rendered t'lie council by the assistant engineer, Mr Rnbt. L. James (son of Mr and Mrs, S. R'. James, Cambridge)., and it was decided to grant him a bonus as a recognition of the progress he was, making, and for devotion to his work.
