CAMBRIDGE EASTER TOURNAMENT. MEN'S HANDICAP SINGLES. The only event of the Cambridge Easter tournament yet undecided —the men's handicap singles—was advanced to near its completion on Saturday afternoon, when several excellent contests were decided, . the play -being watched with keen interest. Morrison defeated Allan after a touch-and-go match, 9 —B. Allan secured eight games to Morrison's seven, but Morrison evened up by taking the next game. (Serving well, Allan got 40 to his opponent's 15 in the final game, but he was getting tired after the strenuous set, and Morrison went on and won .the set. Morrison next met Robinson, and forcing the game and driving well, won fairly easily, 9—5, a well-deserved win on tactics. In the next round, however, Morrison had to give way to Fleet, who wOn 9 —B, after a fine exhibition of tonnis on both sides. Elect then met J. Cox in the final. Cox played his usual steady game, making sure of everything, and taking very few risks. Fleet tried forcing tactics and placed beautifully. The first set went to Cox, 6 —4. It was a hardfought set, with long rallies. In the next set Fleet did better, his placing down the side-lines proving effective. When the score was 4—2, in Fleet's favour, play was discontinued, owing to failing light. The match will bo continued from Saturday's score, on a date to be mutually agreed upon by the contestants.
