Results: — Waitemata Trot —7 —Floraline 1,- 9 Bluewood 2, 6—Appeal 3.. Scratched: Quiekfire and The Tiger. Won by a neck and five lengths. Time 3.34 1-5. Improvers' Handicap.—2—Amaris 1, 3—Goldman 2, 9—Beatty 3. All started. ' Won by a length each way. Time 3.30 4-5. Spring Handicap.— i —Machine Gun 1, I—Tom Thumb 2, I—Talaro (coupled with Tom Thumb) 3. 7—Jewel Pointer 4. Scratched: St. Maura. Won by three-quarters of a length and half a head. Time 4.39 3-5. Great Northern Derby.—l—Daphne Do Oro 1, 3—Monopole 2, I—Donard 3. Coupled with winner was Harvest Child. Scratched: Actor Ballen, Man-at-Arms, Medusa, Peter, Pirate Queen, Warspitc and Warplane. Won by three-quarters of a length and ' two lengths. Time 3.34 2-5. Stewards' Handicap—l—The Shrewd 1, 4 —Uncle Bert 2, B—Reliance 3. Scratched: Lady Dunmore. Won by half a length and a nose. Time 4.42 2-5. October Handicap.—B—All Bell 1, I—Sea Pearl 2, 3—Jewel Pointer 3. Scratched: Tom Thumb, St. Maura, Bell Harold and Nelson Fame. Won by a head and a neck. Time 2.16 4-5. Mauntain Trot.—s—Young Blake 1, 4—Trampfast 2, I—Betty Moko 3. All started. Won by one length with threequarters between second and third. Time 4.42. Electric Handicap.—2—Nelson Tasker 1, 10—Rockburn 2, 12—Rua Pere 3. Won by a neck with two lengths between second and third. Time 2.52
The to'talisator investments during the day amounted to £43,050 10/. Compared with the sum handled on the corresponding day last year .this represents a decrease of £10,792 10/.
