GIRL GUIDES
VISIT TO AUCKLAND. A contingent of 24 local Girl Guides representing the Cambridge troop, under Captain C. Richards and Lieut. Amy Levesque, visited Auckland during the week-end in connection with the big Guide rally held at the Domain on Saturday. I •X ■
. The girls had a, most enjoyable and profitable time, and were delighted with ,the work at the fully and also the hospitality of their city colleagues. The contingent returned on Sunday, evening by the second' express and were motored back to .Cambridge through the kindness of local car-own-ers.
The marching of the massed troops greatly impressed the Governor-General (Sir Charles Fergusson), as ' did the various branches of the Guides',work. In the course of inspection . by Dr Marjory Knight she commented favourably on the marching of several troops,, including Cambridge.
