A wedding of considerable' local interest took place at the little/KaipaUi Church on Wednesday, March Mist, wlien Mr J. A. Tarr, fourth son of Mr ail'd Airs William Tarr, of “Tarndale,” ivaipaki, was married to Miss (ionstance Irene Cunningham, second daughter of Mr and Airs Fulton Cunningham, of ‘ ‘ Hylenslee, ’ ’ Ivaipaki. The popularity of the event was shown by the large crowd of people who gathered both inside and outside, the church, which had been nicely de-

corated for the occasion by friends of the bride. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. J. Hay, of Cambridge, and , was fully choral. Miss Edna Williamson presided at the organ and played appropriate music. The hymns, “I he Voice that Breathed o’er Eden, and * 1 Oh God of Bethel,” were sung. 'Hie bride, who was given -away by, her father, looked charming in a dam-' tv frock of ivory georgette over satin, made, with godets of: radium, lace andembroidered with pearls and brilliants. , The veil, which also formed the' train, was held In place by a coronet of pearls and orange blossom.(She carried a bouquet of creme roses, chrvsanthe•/minis and asparagus tern.
