BUTTER PRICE DROPS

TWOPENCE PER POUND. OPERATING FROM YESTEDAY. The price of butter in Auckland wajj reduced 2d per pound from vesterdaj| morning. Revised wholesale selling rates are as follow: Opotiki and Anchor superfine quality 1/8$ per lb, Aeorn first grade 1/7-i per lb, Daffodil second grade 1/(51 per lb; all less Jd per lb for prompt. cash. The retail prices in the respective grades will be: Superfine 1/10, first grade factory 1/9, second grade 1/S. Previous alterations in Auckland took place on August 5 and September 1, when local rates advanced Id per lb in each case. The present, reduction brings wholesale rates back to the prices ruling in June and July last..
