Cricket Club attended the social evening held in the Oddfellows’ Hall, which was presided over by Mr A. H. Nicoli, a principal of the firm. After supper had boon done full justice to, a very pleasant hour was spent , w-ith song and story, daring which sey)?*, oral toasts were honoured. . Musical and vocal items were given ' by the following:—Messrs. A. H. Nicoll, W. Maberlv, N. Rowe, W. Boonstra, J. Wehipeihana, W. Woolley. Mr M. P. McDermott officiated at, the piano. The S.P.N.D. Club, despite the fact . that crieket. has not created much en- , thusiasm in Cambridge, have had a
very enjoyable season. They .have played matches against Frankton, Hamilton, Te Miro and Pukeroro, and have had about an equal share of wins and losses. .Several games were also played against the Y.M.C.A. boys. The B.P.N.D. Club are hopeful that a strong Cambridge Club will be formed next summer, which would have the effect of giving the neeossary stimulus to the game in the district. -
