Messrs Dalgcty and Co., Ltd., are in receipt of the following cable from their head office, London, under date of the 3rd instant: — Attendance of .buyers is good, competition very animated for crossbred good selection. Good demand for merinos, but occasionally irregular as compared with last sales closing rates. Merinos wools prices unchanged; half-bred, Ikl to 2-Sd higher; crossbred fine quality 2d to 2kl higher; slipe and crossbred, Id to 2d higher. The following is range of prices realised at first sale of the present series: Halfbred 56/58, good to super, 26-kl to 28-Jd; low to medium, 22kt to 25?,d; 50/56, good to super, 22d to 24k1; low to medium, .18 Id to 20kl. Fine crossbred, 48/50, good to super, 19d to 21-kl; low to medium, l(sd to ISd; 46/4S, good to super, 17-Jd to 19d; low to medium, 14-kl to 16kl. Crossbred, 44/46, good to super, loci to 16kl; low to medium, 13d.t0 14kl; 40/44, good to super, 13kl to 14-kl; low to medium, 12}d to 13d. Coarse crossbred, 36/40, good to super. 13d; low to medium, lljcl to 12kl.

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., Hamilton, have received the following cablogram from their London house, under date of sth instant: —

Wool. Sale—Compared with last sale's closing rates prices arc higher about 5 per cent for scoured and greasy merino, fine greasy and fine scoured crossbred, fine crossbred slipe; about 10 to 15 per cent higher for medium ana coarse greasy crossbred, medium and coarse scoured crossbred, medium and coarse crossbred slipe. Market strong at advance.
