HAMILTON COMPETITIONS
FIRST ANNUAL MEETING. SMALL LOSS SHOWN. The first annual meeting of the Hamilton Musical and Elocutionary Competitions Society was held on Thursday evening last, Mr H. Ross (deputychairman) presiding. The annual report and balanco sheet showed that the first competitions had been a huge success, but had resulted in a deficit of £55 12/6. The following officers were duly elected:—President, Mr T. B. Booth; hon. treasurer, Mr R. English; oxeeutivo, Messrs H. C. Ross, j, McKinnon, T, A. Lucas, F. Bullock, H. F. Saunders, D. Seymour, and Vickery.
