SAFEGUARDING AUCKLAND CHAMPION AND PEDESTRIANS A most unusual mooting took place at tlio City Council last evening, viz., an ordinary mooting, with tho light burning and reporters present. However, things had gone too far in the matter of the Quay Street Railway to excite more than a few mild and belated protests. The streets of Sydney, we are told, are built on the old street tracks, and the map of Auckland is now indelibly ini prosed by Mr Hamer’s plan, which had not taken into calculation the necessity for railway connection to the westward of Queen’s •Wharf. This omission, or lack of foresight, has brought a network of railway lines into the heart of the city, and will remain a perpetual nuisance, even if the public are safeguarded. When you plan or build, build for the future, and on a sure and certain basis, such as CHAMPION MUSCLE RAISER FLOUR, AND STANDARD OATMEAL, AND ROLLED OATS POSSENNISKIE FAMILY AND DISPENSING CHEMIST VICTORIA ST., CAMBRIDGE Business Phone No. 3.
