BOARD’S POLICY FORMULATED

The policy of the Taupo-Putaruru. Railway Board was formulated at a

meeting here. The Board resolved to endeavour to complete the purchase of ' the TaupoTotara Timber Company’s line and plant. In the event of the Board failing to effect a purchase on acceptable terms the matter will be placed before the timber owners and ratepayers with a view to obtaining an expression of opinion as ho what step should be taken to provide railway conveniences for the district.
