RIFLE SHOOTING

CAMBRIDGE CLUB SATURDAY ’S COMPETITION The local Rifle Club, on Saturday afternoon, in good shooting weather, held a competition over the 200 and 300 yards ranges, when a good muster and good scores resulted. The Club provided three prizes/ which, after a close contest, were won by Mess/s W. Moore, W. Harbutt and J. Bruq6. Wallis, 38, 40, 2, 80; Discombe 32, 31, 15, 78; J. Moyle 29, 32, 15, 76; T. Moyle 26,. 25, 15, 66.

Messrs W. H. Reed and Gibson were elected members of the Club, the membership of which now stands at about 40, and the prospects for the future of the Club are bright. A little later the Club proposes to hold regular weekly shoots,, but in the meantime so as not to clash with representative football matches, odd days are being selected and notification will appear in the local papor when shooting is to take place.
