PLUNKET SOCIETY
MONTHLY MEETING The monthly meeting of the Plunkot Society was held last week. Those present were Mosdames Peake, Booth, Watson, Hall, H. Lewis, Goodwin and Simpson. The nurse’s report showed a great increase of visits to the office during the month, totalling 409. Nurse Goulstone is at present away on her fortnight’s holiday. Mrs Simpson has to give up her position as secretary on account of commencing her nursing profession again. Mrs Peake offered to resign as president and accept the secretaryship. This offer was accepted and Mrs S. Lewis was then elected to the position of president. Accounts amounting to £2l S/4 were passed for payment. Donations Mr Congalton has kindly consented to accept any donations or subscriptions towards the Society. Mr Peake has recently been 'canvassing for the Plunkct Society, and has met with a fair response. It is to be hoped the public will heartily support this worthy institution.
