SATURDAY’S ATTRACTION,

STIRRING WORLD DRAMA,

At the' Town Hall pictures next Saturday night that popular film artiste, Alice Brady, appears in the leading role in a World drama,' entitled "La Boheme.” A synopsis of the story is as follows:—Rudolph Durandin goes to the Latin quarter in Paris, having quarelled with his rich uncle over his madness for a literary career. There he meets Mimi, a flower-maker,; and in no time they are deeply in love. The uncle learns of Rudolph’s infatuation and writes to ■Mimi, explaining that she will ruin the young man’s life, and Mimi deserts him. .Rudolph thinks that Mimi has followed the ways of .the Lhtin quarter, and gone to live with another lover. Rudolph and his , friend, Marcel, both deserted by their sweethearts, return to the rich uncle’s home, with two of the old Latin quarter pals. -A great ball takes place, and during its progress, Mimi, almost dead from exposure, finds herself in the courtyard. She is discovered by one of the students, aud Mussette, Marcel’s sweetheart. Naturally none of this Bohemian set have any money; but they all try to please the dying Mimi, who yearns for a muff, and there is a. succession of strong pathetic scenes, each one of the students parting with some possession which he loves, to make Mind happy. They raise enough money to buy the muff, and return to the room to find Rudolph with his uncle, and Mimi dies, with the realisation that Rudolph has always loved her.
