Hamilton Flower Show.

CAMBRIDGE SUCCESSES. The annual autumn show of the Hamilton Horticultural Society on Thursday produced a record show of. chrysanthemums, this being largely contributed by Cambridge exhibitors. Thq bowls of chrysanthemums were simply glorious in their manifestation of colour and arrange rent, which was quite above the average of previous autumn shows, -- Mrs H. L. Nixon was the principal winner in the claiss for decoration, but Mrs Coleman was first in an exceptionally meritorious class for floral baskets. Tne awards in the classes in which Cambridge exhibitors were represented are as follows- — Dahlias.— Cactus, 12 varieites: Mrs T. Wells 1. Cactus, 6 varieties: Mrs T. Wells 1. Cactus, 1 variet'y, 3 blooms: Mrs T. Wells 1. Peony, 3 varieties: Mrs T. Wells 1. Cbrysanth°mum Japanese.— Six varieties, one bloom of each: Mrs T. Wells 1, G. B. Simpson 2. Three varieties, one bloom of each: G. B. Simpson 1, Mrs Thos. Wells 2. One variety, 3 blooms: G. B. Simpson 1, Mrs T. Wells 1. Twelve Japanese chrysanthemums, separate varieties G. B. Simpson 1. - Floral arrangement.— Bowl of chrysanthemums : Mrs H. L. Nixon 1. Shower bouquet, chrysanthemum- : Mrs H. L. Nixon 1. Lady’s spray a'd buttonhole; Mrs H. L. Nixon 1. —Table Decorations.— _I, As usual, in the three table decorations the official Were withheld till after a popularwote" for the Mayor’s prize was taken in'the evening.' The people’ vo f e for the best table in three classes resulted in the prize going to Mrs Coleman, Mrs Nixon’s table coming second.
