Cambridge Road Board.

The above board met at Cambridge on Saturday, there being present Messrs G. Booth (chairman), J. Hooker and G. Watt. —Tenders— The following were accepted:— Forming the Dingle-Morgan road,' about two mUes; W. Eastwood 6s 6d. Gravelling the flume road. W. Eastwood, Is 3d. Forming and gravelling the road from the homestead at Fencourt to Goodwood : W. Eastwood 5s lOd per chain. Mr Eastwood’s tenders were accepted for the lot, he having done good work for the board in the past. —Overdue Bates — At' date the overdraft stood at £SOO 14s 6d. —The collector was instructed to summons forthwith all who were in arrears with rates for last year, and the 10 per cent interest will be charged at an early date upon the present year’s rates. —Accounts — The following accounts were passed for payment:—T. Pennell, £9 18s;’ W. Eastwood, £lB 15s 6d; clerk, £5; Waikato Argus, 18s ; T. Wells, 4s 9d; R. H. Coltman, 3s; Speight, Pearce, Nicoll andDavys, £3 18s5d ; Waikato Independent, lls 6d;H.* Trigger, 10s. The last mentioned was for burying a yearling slieer that was left dead upon the side of the road after the Cambridge sale last Monday—-It was decided to endeavour to ascertain the owner of the animal, and make him pay the cost of burial.
