HAMILTON STOCK SALE
Messrs Dalgety & Co., Ltd., report as follows :
We held our usual sale in the above yards on Thursday, the 22nd inst., when we had a full yarding consisting of^29 11 sheep, 416 head cattle, and 97 pigs. Owing to the blockage at the Freezing Works, all fat stock was easier. Calves showed an improvement in price and store , sheep and rape lambs sold well. We quote Fat cows 104 s fat stags 1355, stoie cows 75s to 925, cows with calves 31s to 98s, 4-year steers in poor condition 1445, 3-year ditto 116 s, 2-year ditto 80s to 90s, calves 20s to ols, bulls 100 s to 1355. springers 100 s to 1355, 2.tooth fat wethers 17s 6d. fat lambs 13s 4d to 15•, fat owes 14s 3d to 15s 6d, 2 tooth wethers 13s 3d to 14s 10J, rape lambs 8s 9d to 10s / cl, cull Jambs 6s 4d to /s lOd, S M. ewes 11s 9J, fatjugs 42s to 565, sows in pig 40s to 55 s, slips 21s to 30s, weaners 14s to 16s.
