Wellington, this afternoon. The weather is dull antl_ boisterous, with clouds of dust. The attendance is again large and the track fast. Results—

Mangaroa Welter.—Canute 1, Zeis 2, Record 3. Scratched—Pavlova and Ngarua. ( A great finish. Canute came with a brilliant spurt and beat Zeus by a head. Time 1.30.
