WESTFIELD STOCK MARKET,

By Telegraph—Special. Auckland, this day Messrs Dalgety & Co., Ltd., report having held their usual weekly fat stock sale at Westfield on Wednesday, as under ;

Beef. —An average yarding. Owing to the excessively hot weather and freezing buyers being unable to secure killing space at Southdown, prices were again lower. Best pens‘of choice medium weight ox sold at equal to 28s per 100 lb,, ordinary prime ox at 265, cow and heifer beef made 24s to 265 - -

Veal— A large yarding, and prices were lower all round. Heavy runners made 45s to 71s, choice suckers 30s to 435, others 3s to 21s. Mutton.—An average yarding. Prices were again low. Heavy prime wethers made up to 10s 6d, - medium weight ditto 18s to 18s 9d’ light , and unfinished 14s 9d to 16s 3d, extra heavy ewes made up to 19s 6d, good 14s to 15s, 6d, unfinished 10s to 12s. Lamb. —A moderate yarding,and f‘ prices were on a par with last week’s. Heavy prime made up to 17s 6d, medium weights 14s to 15s 6.d, light and unfinished 9s to 10s 9d. Pork.—A large yarding which sold at last week’s rates. Choppers made up to 645, baconers 42s to 545, porkers 29s to 38s.
