PROPOSED RAILWAY LINE.

Taupo, this day. A large and influential meeting was held here last night to further the interests of the projected Taupo Totara Timber Company’s railway line to Taupo. The meeting was the largest held here for years and unanimously carried a resolution to further the scheme in every way. A strong committee was appointed. A small land boom has started in Taupo, and building sections are fetching £4O an acre and selling fast. The freehold available is very limited.
