BOWLING.

The following matches were played on Saturday:— > CHAMPION SINGLES. W. Wright 29 v. E. Carr 28 J. Ferguson 31 v. P. C. Carr 20 FIELD-GLASS COMPETITION. The semi-final and final in the above tournament was played and ended as follows: SEMI-FINAL. G. Bobertson 23 v. J. Lundon 18 F. O'Toole 15 v. H. Davy 14 FINAL. G.Eobertson (4) 22 v. F. O'Toole (scr) 16 The winner well deserved his win, as he is only a young player/ ani played most consistently throughout, winning ; every game he played. Several ordinary games were played, '.. but the scores were not handed in. A meeting of the Bowling Club was .' held in the Farmers' Club room'at Cambridge last evening. •' There was a good attendance, 18 being present, the President, Mr Walter Wright) being in the chair. ° '. Several alterations were made in the working arrangements of the Club. Messrs Earl, Eivers and O'Toole were appointed the Green committee; and Messrs Earl, Hammond and E. Davys, J. Hair, C. C. Buckland, P. Carr (skip). Several alterations have been made in the teams, as first selected, owing to illness. Any not being able'to attend are re- : quested to notify Mr Earl-at the earliest possible moment. The meeting of the Club last evening considered a little dispute that had arisen "•'■ between the caretaker and greens super- - intendent (Mr F. O'Toole) and some members of the Club, who played oh the greens last Wednesday against the wish ' of the superintendent. Mr O'Toole main- ■". tained that he was acting within his rights and that he should have been supported in his action by the committee, two members of which were amongst those who played on the greens. The case was discussed at length, and it was decided that in future the greens, instead of being managed solely by Mr O'Toole, should be controlled by a Greens Committee, the personnel of which aopears above.
