THE WAIKATO KIRK NEWS.
The Presbyterian Churches in the "Waikato, in order to keep members in touch with each other, have started a monthly paper entitled *' The Waikato Kirk News,” and its first number is published to-day. In the course of his remarks in his introductory leading article the editor says: —“Our church, endeavouring. to keep pace with the times, has entered upon various schemes for further usefulness, and has done this with considerable success. Bub one great uifficulty bas been met with, namely—the task of keeping all the members in so scattered a district in touch with these forward movements. For example, there are not a few who know nothing of our Bible Classes, and their fruitful work. To meet the need, this paper has been brought into existence, and its primary work will be to carry the news of the churches into all the homes connected with the Waikato congregations.” The first number of the paper is a news little production, from a kirk point of view, and it should receive a hearty welcome in the homes of mem-, hers of the kirk in the Waikato,
