NEWS IN BRIEF.
A large shipment of pedigree cattle and sheep arrived from London by the Rimutaka. It is reported that a “creep” has taken place in Ralph’s section of the Taupiri coal mines, and the men hav been withdrawn from that section. Graham Higgins, aged 9, the son o Mr Braidwood Higgins, was drowned in the Waimari river, Gisborne, while bathing.
