TE AWAMUTU SALE. The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Co. (Limited) report as follows On Saturday, January 12th, we held our monthly stock sale at Te Awamutu, and notwithstanding the wet day there was a full yarding, and brisk competition throughout, making a complete clearance. Well bred two and a half year old steers realieed up to £4 15s; yearling steers, £2 Os 6d to £2 4g ; mixed yearlings, £1 17s to £2; wellgrown good calves, 20s to 24s 6d; smaller sorts, 15s to 17s 6d; fresh-conditioned cows, £8 10s to .£4 ss; fat cows, £5 7s 6d ; fat heifers, £4 19s; aged bulls, £1 15s to £2 ss; quiet 2|- and 3-year dairy heifers, £2 15s to £3 ss. Pigs in brisk demand, and all sold—weaners from 12s 6d to 17s; good slips, 21s to 265. Sundries at usual prices.
