RAILWAY CONCESSIONS

Portugal complains that the preferential railway rates conceded to Cape Colony and Natal by the Transvaal are unfair to the Delagoa Bay railway, and threatens to withhold facilities for the recruiting of natives for the Rand mines unless Delagoa is accprded commercial railway equality.
TRANSVAAL GOLD OUTPUT. Capetown, January 11. The Transvaal gold output totalled £21,579,987, an increase of nearly £4,000,000 over 1905.
