THE CHRONOPHONE.

Dig Stonham-Morrison Company made their first appearance at the Alexandra Hall last evening with their Gaumont A Chronophone. There was a very large and appreciative audience present, the hall being packed to the doors. The views shown, are without doubt, the finest ever exhibited in Cambridge, being both instructive and amusing, and held the attention of those present from start to finish. The programme opened with the picture song : ' The Pircnian, * and was received with rapturous applause. Another item of exciting interest was “ The New Zealand Footballers v. Wales,” a very clear and fine picture, but the gem of the evening was “ Switzerland in Winter.” This picture is very realistic, the scenes of snow and ice, and the exciting snow--shoe and sledge races giving a good insight of a Swiss winter. “ The New Woman,” “ The Dangerous Golfers;’ and “Weary Willie and Tired Jim,” were items which caused intense merriment. Twenty-six views altogether were shown, every picture being of a high-class order. The company appear here again this evening, and those in search of a good night s fun, combined with instruction,, should not miss this opportunity.
